The prize
The competition is open to higher education students and those who have graduated from higher education since October 2012.
The grand prize
The prize is a first of its kind for students and recent graduates: an all-expenses-paid around-the-world trip for up to a year. As well as up to 8 months worldwide travel, it will also include 2 six-week paid internships at 2 different AXA locations worldwide, and a voluntary experience with 1 of our Corporate Responsibility partners.
AXA will help the winner to shape the prize around their circumstances and interests, taking into account their personal safety. Full travel, accommodation, living expenses and travel insurance will be funded.
The regional prizes
There are 4 geographical regions in total: Europe, the Americas, Africa & the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. The top scorers from each region will go through a selection process. There will be one regional winner selected to win a technology product prize, and also go through to the next stage where they will compete for the big prize.
How you win
Step 1 – The Great Global Adventure game:
You answer a series of general knowledge questions to travel around the world. There are 9 destinations in total, and at each destination you have to solve a puzzle or complete a challenge to win points. Once you have completed the game, if you are one of the top 30 scorers in your region when the competition closes, you will be contacted to compete for the regional prize.
Step 2 – Selection:
30 top scorers per geographical region will be invited to the next stage. There are four geographical regions in total: Europe, the Americas, Africa & the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Each of the chosen contestants will go through a first stage selection process: this will be a video interview. The top 5 candidates per region – as scored and rated by a selection panel from that region - will then be telephone interviewed against a set of pre-agreed criteria. The top scorer for each region will then win a technology product as a prize. The top scorer will then also go on to step 3.
Step 3 – Final interview:
All of the 4 regional winners will be asked to attend a panel interview by visiting their local AXA office (conducted by video conference with a panel in Paris). After this, the final Great Global Adventure game winner will be selected for the ultimate prize.
